The Atlas Wheel has been designed for the most demanding professional use.  With a load capacity in excess of 50kg of clay this wheel has the finesse to throw small item such as mugs, jugs, but the power to produce large pieces such as strawberry pots or chimeny pots.  The Atlas construction includes a reinforced polished wood cabinet, hardwood front and side legs and a hardwood integrated shelf.  An upholstered seat is adjustable in height and a moulded plastic splash tray is large enough for the most demanding thrower.  This wheel is 6" lower than a standard wheel of this type to enable throwing tall items.  Drive is supplied via a twin belt drive to a 0.75kW motor (1hp).  Speed s controlled by a sophisticated control unit that is capable of maintaining high torque at the slowest speeds.  The wheel is almost silent in use.
